Plans to leverage Infoboard technology to address further target groups
Starnberg, 11 July 2011 - The German headquarters of the leading software manufacturer leverage the patented DCI Infoboard technology to efficiently address small and medium business customers in real time. For the pilot project DCI has placed the Infoboard on SMB affine portals and built an individual communication network which enables Microsoft Germany to reach specific target groups fast and efficiently.
DCI has done research into portals which match the SMB target group and related topics. Microsoft Germany and DCI have jointly defined target portals for the campaign, among them portals of IDG, CBS, Silicon, Media-Manufaktur as well as WEKA. DCI is getting in touch with the publishers one by one to gradually build a communication network. By individually integrating the Infoboards, DCI ensures the perfect fit into the portal as well as optimum awareness and performance. The Infoboards are permanently placed on the portals to offer the visitors a persisting source of information.
The DCI Infoboard features a new patented e-mail-to-web-technology for publishing news and promotions on the web in real time. In addition to the SMB newsletters Microsoft’s online marketing team sends in landing pages and blog posts. The visitors benefit from straight access to the news in the ticker and the ActiveView® preview without any detours via e-mail inboxes. The coverage is scalable and not confined to the limits of mailing lists. Placement in the editorial context helps the Infoboard to stand out and ensures the information is being perceived. The measurement is performance driven, counting the ActiveViews®. Thus, the German offices of the Redmond based software company only pay for contacts who actively view the news.
„The KMU pilot is an innovative approach to specifically address the SMB target group,“ explains Andreas Hennig, Online Marketing Manager at Microsoft Germany. „Once we have successfully completed the pilot project, we intend to build up communication channels for other dedicated target groups.“
“We are happy to count Microsoft Germany among our Infoboard customers,” comments Michael Mohr, CEO of DCI AG. “The new profitable advertising format offers a lot of benefits to the publishers as well by opening up new business from direct and newsletter marketing budgets. At the same time publishers increase the value of their portals through up-to-date content.”
